Concept to conversation, Handymakes creates fun audio experiences.
With our love of storytelling, podcasting and other audio experiences are a natural creative outlet for the Handymakes team. We currently host two podcasts, both irreverently reverential explorations of cultural phenomena. Coming next is Not on the Test, a podcast for kids that takes a single topic and puts it under a multidisciplinary microscope, revealing amazing bits of history, art, language, culture, and humor. Stay tuned!
RELAX WITH OUR LATEST!
Boring Books for Bedtime is a weekly bedtime story podcast for the sleepless, the stressed, the anxious, the insomniacs—anyone who struggles with the endless brain chatter that keeps us from relaxation and sleep. In each episode, we calmly, quietly read something that's rather boring. Think Galileo, Aristotle, Emerson, and whoever wrote the craziness of the 1897 Sears Catalog.
Handymakes handles all aspects of the podcast production, from content through recording, editing, distribution, and marketing. In May 2021, we hit a new milestone, with more than two million downloaded episodes!

Gin and Cake is an exploration of one of the most weirdly popular reality shows on television: The Great British Bake-Off.
In it, generally polite people compete to bake cookies and cake while wandering around a tent on a bucolic English estate. Absurd? Yes! Which is probably why we, and tens of millions, love it!
We comment, question, wax rhapsodic, and speculate wildly about things we could probably know if we weren’t too lazy to look them up on the Internet. There's also a bunch of baking trivia. And a few Star Trek references, because that's never wrong.

Handymakes is passionate about connecting people with content. Handymakes partner Sharon Handy is one of LibriVox's global network of narration volunteers. She helps turn public domain content into free audiobooks in a wide range of topics, fairy tales to the Nuremberg Trials.
With more than 1,000 titles being added to the LibriVox library every year, Handymakes will have plenty of opportunity to keep contributing!
